Rachel Phillipson

Rachel is an experienced economist, strategist and evaluator. She has spent over 20 years in economics in a wide range of public sector bodies, both internationally and in the UK. She has worked primarily in international development but also in UK domestic policy and local development.
As well as a long period in the UK’s Department for International Development as a senior economist, where she worked with developing country governments, multilateral agencies and NGOs, she has experience in UK central and local government, think-tanks and community interest groups.
Rachel excels as an analyst and evaluator. She specialises in regional, labour and health economics. She also has extensive understanding of institutional appraisal and governance issues.
