Catherine works to promote sustainability, helping organisations become more climate resilient and climate smart. This includes policy development and analysis, innovating new tools and processes, standard development, impact assessment and behaviour change.
She has particular expertise in climate change, having been a member of the core team on the Stern Review. She leads teams working with a range of clients helping them understand and respond to climate disruption at both the policy and programme level, including developing the first adaptation standard and product and improving climate resilience in the supply chain. Also promoting low carbon development and better understanding of what works in the international climate finance architecture.
Catherine is a Visiting Professor at Essex Business School, the University of Essex focussing on building business resliance through innovating for sustainability. She is also Visiting Fellow at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford supporting the Stranded Assets Programme. She has held a number of advisory and board positions including on the Advisory Board of the Sustainable Aviation consortium (including BA, BAE Systems, Rolls Royce & Virgin Atlantic). She is a Visiting Fellow at Anglia Ruskin University on the team examining the risks arising from resource constraints in the near term. She chairs the Steering Group of the Global Resource Observatory at Anglia Ruskin University.
