Aid Policy, Effectiveness and Results
After Busan

Aid relationships are rapidly changing. The effectiveness of aid can no longer be seen in isolation from overall investments in development. As the global economy grows, funders are becoming more diverse. New funders are begnning to influence how global development is organised. Relationships of accountability are also changing. Partner countries increasing call for more accountability from funders.

Alongside these changes, there is an increasing focus on results.  Donor agencies are coming under increasing pressure to demonstrate results both to recipients and their own stakeholders.  At the global level, the international aid architecture is increasingly under scrutiny.

Agulhas helps clients to keep abreast of international thinking and practices in this highly dynamic field, and expand their knowledge through lesson learning and analysis.  We also provide practical advice on aid modalities and programme development. We provide independent evaluations of performance, helping to support improvements in policy and practice.

We are part of the consortium delivering evaluations for the UK's Independent Commission on Aid impact
